1 cup brown sugar
½ teaspoon dried ground chipotle pepper or chili powder
Preheat the oven to 400°. Mix together the brown
sugar and ground chipotle pepper.
Cut the slices from 1 pound of bacon in half (about
4 to 5-inch lengths). Dredge each piece in the brown sugar.
Place onto a rack set into a baking pan with lip.
Bake until the bacon is crisp, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Remove to a parchment paper lined pan. Cool to room
temperature.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
